TROPICS BUSINESS SUMMIT launches TROPICS STARTUPS CHALLENGE, a Small Business Hackathon

The TROPICS BUSINESS SUMMIT is proud to announce the launch of its very first cohort of the TROPICS STARTUPS CHALLENGE, a jointly organized hackathon for small businesses in collaboration with MELANIN KAPITAL (Germany), DIRA PARTNERS (France/Senegal), REDA CAPITAL (France) and OPEN CONSULTING (Cameroon). This call of proposal targets Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses operating in Africa and the Caribbean.

The aim of the forthcoming TROPICS BUSINESS SUMMIT is to position Africa as a top investment destination while the aim of the #TropicsStartupsChallenge is to enable small businesses to grow.

Entrepreneurs, who meet the eligibility criteria and requirements stipulated in this call for applications, will be able to benefit from a financial and logistical support from a strategic partnership established between TROPICS VENTURES GROUP (South Africa), MELANIN KAPITAL (Germany), DIRA PARTNERS (Senegal), REDA CAPITAL (France) and OPEN CONSULTING (Cameroon). In addition, all participating Startups will get a chance to present their innovations and take part in the virtual B2B Networking Sessions during the 4th annual TROPICS BUSINESS SUMMIT scheduled from 14 to October 17, 2020 online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This strategic alliance between TROPICS BUSINESS SUMMIT and its international partners aims to contribute to the influence and the consolidation of an extensive Afro-Caribbean entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Interested entrepreneurs should submit their business plans or pitch decks according to their development objectives to date. The submission must take place before October 5th, 2020 before midnight (GMT + 1).
