TROPICS MEDIA – In light of the current situation of the Covid19 breakout across Africa and the world, the ARCID Network (African Research Center for Innovation and Development) in Morocco joins hands with TROPICS MAGAZINE in South Africa and AfriCulturelle Magazine in Senegal to launch #AfricaCovid19Voices, a community awareness campaign with key community, political and business leaders. The goal of the campaign is to coordinate and sustain a public information campaign that reinforces key messages to shape people’s behaviors in Africa and the Caribbean and prevent the spread of the virus.
The #AfricaCovid19Voices campaign promotes « Unity among Africans and friends of Africa » as well as five key steps in line with WHO (World Health Organization) guidance, which focuses on handwashing, coughing etiquette, not touching your face, physical distance and staying home if feeling unwell.
Africa needs teamwork and unity of actions to combat the coronavirus. ARCID, TROPICS MAGAZINE and AfriCulturelle Magazine have teamed up to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) by launching this media awareness campaign #AfricaCovid19Voices led by world-renowned thought leaders business elites, academics, industry experts and the public at large, who are calling on all people across the African continent, and the Caribbean to follow five key steps to stop the spread of the disease as well as calling on African and Caribbean political leaders to become accountable for their health system and infrastructures overall.
